About Howard University Step Team
The purpose of this organization is to nurture its members in the areas of leadership, excellence, truth and service through stepping as a performance discipline. As leaders in the art of stepping, we will train our members to create new techniques and movements never before seen in step. Exemplifying excellence, we will represent Howard University on the national and local scale during step competitions and exhibition style performances. As a performance organization we will help facilitate Howard’s goals of truth and service by using step to mentor, educate, and train younger steppers in the DC community.
Seeing that the art of stepping can be taken to further lengths, accompanied with other performance skills, The Howard University Step Team is here to represent the university and all its demographics to be yet another example of the Mecca’s reach and influence.
