Delaware State University’s team iSTEP took the NCPA National Step Championships at the historical Apollo Theater by storm as they earned 1st place and All-American honors alongside becoming the NCPA North Atlantic Region Champions. The team won $5,500 in prize money and donated 20% of it to Graham Windham, a non-profit organization that benefits Harlem youth.

About iSTEP
iSTEP STEP TEAM was founded 2013 at Delaware State University. iSTEP stands for I STEP TOWARDS EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE.
iSTEP’s leadership team encourages all team members to put hard work, determination, and consistency in everything they do. As the first official step team at Delaware State University, prior to the NCPA National Championship win at the Apollo in April, iSTEP has earned a plethora of first place competitive awards from The Annual Dance & Step Competition in Charlottesville, VA, University of Maryland Eastern Shore Homecoming Step Show, and the Fusion Step Step Team Step Explosion in Pennsylvania.
iSTEP’s mission is to step in formation and unison while making rhythms with the stomping of their feet and the clapping of their hands, chanting, and the use of create objects. Moreover, iSTEP STEP TEAM collaborates as one unit to obtain and practice creativity and unity all the while brining entertainment and positive influences to their audience.
