This #GivingTuesday, our UpStaged community wants to shoutout and thank a few organizations that work tirelessly throughout the year. We have highlighted four organizations that our previous winners have split their winnings with. Learn about their work, and give back.
Sickle Cell Disease Foundation
The Sickle Cell Disease Foundation, chosen by DJ KK (@djkkgetmelit), addresses the needs of those affected by sickle cell disease in California. They provide a variety of services ranging from counseling to education for those affected by the disease.
Clay Street Table
Clay Street Table, chosen by Simping Sounds (@simpingsounds), provides meals and food pantry in Portland, Oregon. In 2021, they provided over 240,000 meals to Portland’s downtown community. They not only provide food, but community, to the vulnerable.
We Stand Together, Inc
We Stand Together, chosen by DJ Zoe Crazy (@djzoecrazy), provides support and education to those affected by cancer. Through financial assistance programs, We Stand Together hopes to help patients focused on fighting cancer. Since its founding, they have impacted over 2000 people and provided thousands in assistance.
Every performing art competitor pairs with a Social Justice Charity of their choice, to fight it out to the end of the Championship. The National Collegiate Performing Arts proudly promotes a better world for us all and gives thanks to the students who not only passionately perform their art, but fight for the future.
